Occupants of Klerksdorp and encompassing towns were woken by an earth tremor on Monday morning.
The USGS National Earthquake Information Center expressed on its site that a tremor was felt at 05:08 in the Stilfontein territory. It was at a profundity of 5km and had a size of 5.2.
